Branch members have transcribed and indexed burial records
or memorials for the Municipal Cemeteries at:
Torrisholme, (Westgate Road)
Skerton (Halton Road)
 Scotforth Cemetery
Carnforth Cemetery
Halton Cemetery
Lancaster Quernmore Road.
The burial records can show a lot more detail than the
monumental inscription,
They show the people buried without any memorial,
in some cases they show who bought the plot, the date,
the location and what the cost was.
Also ages, relationships and addresses are shown.
Most of this data is freely available to our members
and free indexes are gradually being made available
on this website to help your research.
